The educational landscape of the Turkistan region is undergoing a significant transformation with the commissioning of 29 new schools under the 'Keleshek Mektep' national project. This initiative, specifically designed to modernize the country’s learning infrastructure, recently marked a milestone with the opening of a 300-seat general secondary school in Shayan village, Baidibek district.

Nuralkhan Kusherov attended the opening ceremony and congratulated the residents on the launch of this significant social facility. In his speech, the regional representative noted that this national project, implemented on the President's instructions, aims to modernize educational infrastructure and create a safe and modern learning environment for students. According to him, the opening of this new school will improve the quality of education in the Baidibek district and provide broader opportunities for rural children.

Under the President’s initiative to eliminate school seat shortages, 217 educational organizations are being constructed nationwide as part of the "Keleshek Mektep" project. Of these, 29 schools for 23,000 students—accounting for 13% of the total project—are located in the Turkistan region. This year, the construction of 17 educational facilities is being carried out in the region using local budget funds. Additionally, modernization work has been launched in 41 schools, with renovations already completed in 25 of them.

Out of approximately 8,000 schools in Kazakhstan, more than a thousand (14%) are located in the Turkistan region. Over 550,000 students are currently enrolled in the region's schools, with more than 48,000 children entering the first grade this year alone.

Furthermore, an Art School built using returned state assets was commissioned in the Ordabasy district. Located in the village of Temirlan, this facility aims to boost the spiritual development of the district and increase youth interest in the arts. The construction, costing over 870 million tenge, was completed in just eight months.

The Art School is designed for 300 students and provides all necessary conditions for musical education and the development of creative skills. The building features a 150-seat concert hall, a library, group classroom halls, as well as classes for national instruments, guitar, and piano.

During the ceremony, Nuralkhan Kusherov congratulated the residents on the opening of the new school and highlighted the state support provided to students and teachers.

"I sincerely congratulate you on the opening of the new school! All conditions for quality education have been created here. Huge support is being provided by the state. Under the President's 'Keleshek Mektep' initiative, 217 educational institutions are being built across the country, 29 of which are in the Turkistan region. The quality of education in these new institutions must be at a high level. We place great hope in our qualified educators. May the children receive a deep education and grow into citizens who will develop an independent Kazakhstan!" said Nuralkhan Kusherov. Bagdat Kalaubay, Chairman of the Baidibek District Council of Veterans, expressed gratitude on behalf of local residents for the support shown to the education sector.

It is worth noting that the total cost of the school construction in Shayan village is 3.5 billion tenge. The plot area covers 2.8 hectares, and the total building area is 5,700 square meters. The facility is designed for 300 students.

The launch of this new school is a tangible result of systematic work aimed at developing the education sector in the region. The Turkistan Regional Akimat stated that it will continue to prioritize improving educational infrastructure and creating favorable conditions for the younger generation.
