The scope of social assistance funded by the national budget continues to expand across the country. Today, the state provides 41 different types of social payments. Since the beginning of the year, a total of 5.9 trillion tenge has been allocated for this purpose, according to the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of the Population of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

According to official data, one in five citizens—representing more than 4.6 million people—receives state support. The majority of recipients are pensioners (approximately 2.5 million people) and recipients of state benefits (more than 2.1 million people).
