The Ministry of Digital Development and Artificial Intelligence of the Republic of Kazakhstan reports that a memorandum of cooperation was signed between relevant ministries, the Astana Akimat, and Yandex Qazaqstan, reports Ministry of Artificial Intelligence and Digital Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan

The parties have agreed on the phased implementation of an autonomous taxi service. This process will include everything from developing safety requirements and regulations to conducting initial test runs. The pilot project is planned for rollout in 2026.

During the initial phase, efforts will focus on preparing the regulatory framework, developing the necessary infrastructure, and ensuring the safe integration of autonomous vehicles into the urban environment.
