World's Best Cuisines Named: Where Does Kazakhstan Stand?

The renowned gastronomic guide TasteAtlas has released its updated ranking of the Top 100 Cuisines in the World. Kazakhstan made the list, securing the 98th position.

The ranking is based on 590,228 verified ratings of nearly 19,000 traditional dishes from across the globe. Final positions were determined by the average score provided by users and gastronomic experts.

The Global Top 10

Italy claimed the top spot as the world's best cuisine. The top three also included Greece and Peru. The full top ten is as follows:

Kazakhstan's Performance

Kazakh cuisine ranked 98th. Among national dishes, the highest scores were awarded to:

• Samsa – 4.4 points

• Shuzhyk – 4.3 points

• Lagman – 4.3 points

Meanwhile, Kazy and Shelpek received significantly lower ratings from experts, scoring 3.3 points each.

In the previous TasteAtlas ranking published this spring, Kazakhstan held the 94th spot. At that time, Greek cuisine was recognized as the best in the world, followed by Italian and Mexican cuisines. However, in this latest update, Mexico has fallen out of the top ten.
