According to the press service of the Almaty city administration, this year's festive New Year's fireworks will traditionally take place at Astana Square (Old Square).
The fireworks display, funded by private sponsors, is scheduled to start on December 31 at 00:00. The city's main festive concert will also be held at the same location. The celebratory event will begin at 18:00 and continue until 00:30.
During the concert, popular Kazakh pop stars and various creative groups will perform, creating a festive atmosphere for residents and guests of the city.
