President Tokayev Officially Grants 'People’s Hero' Title to Bauyrzhan Momyshuly

President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev has announced his decision to award the title of "Halyk Kaharmany" (People's Hero) to the famous commander and World War II hero, Bauyrzhan Momyshuly. This significant announcement was made during the events commemorating the 115th anniversary of the hero's birth.

According to the Head of State, Bauyrzhan Momyshuly’s path of valor is well-known not only in Kazakhstan but also internationally. While the people have long revered him as a true hero, he had not been officially granted the "Halyk Kaharmany" title at the state level until now.

The President noted that the public in the Zhambyl region, intellectuals, and youth representatives had raised this issue on several occasions. He emphasized that it was time to restore historical justice.

"As the Head of State, I have made the decision to award the title of 'Halyk Kaharmany' to Bauyrzhan Momyshuly. I have signed the relevant Decree today, and this document will be officially published," said Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.

The President stated that the name of Bauyrzhan Momyshuly must always serve as a clear symbol of true patriotism and resilient courage for future generations. He added that the commander’s bravery is not a legend but a historical fact, proven by records and recognized by fellow soldiers who witnessed the war.

Kassym-Jomart Tokayev concluded by emphasizing that a nation that knows how to honor its citizens who have served the country with bravery will never be defeated.
