More Than 500 Young Scientists in Kazakhstan Receive Housing

The Minister of Science and Higher Education, Sayasat Nurbek, presented housing certificates to 10 young scientists in Astana. This initiative was implemented as part of the President’s directive to support science and create favorable conditions for young researchers, Kursiv reports.

Sayasat Nurbek noted that starting from last year, salaries in scientific organizations across Kazakhstan have increased. In addition, grants for internships, as well as scholarships and bonuses, have been introduced.

“Taking into account that providing housing is an important tool for forming a stable scientific environment, the state is paying special attention to social support issues. As a result of the measures taken in this direction, 587 young scientists have been provided with housing for the first time,” the minister emphasized.

This year, for the first time, a special commission identified the list of young scientists in Astana who will become recipients of state-owned apartments.
