The Government of Kazakhstan plans to extensively integrate Artificial Intelligence (AI) into the legislative process. This was announced by the Minister of Justice, Yerlan Sarsembaev, during a government meeting.

According to the Minister, a specialized AI-based agent will cover the full cycle of legislative drafting. It will participate in every stage—from the initial conceptualization and drafting of bills to their implementation and subsequent monitoring of compliance.

As stated during the meeting, the AI agent will not only be limited to writing draft laws but will also be utilized to analyze the effectiveness of adopted norms and monitor their execution. Furthermore, the mechanism for implementing legislative initiatives using a "package principle" has been strengthened.

According to the Minister of Justice, 25 laws have already been passed as part of efforts to reduce excessive bureaucracy. Additionally, 10 more draft laws aimed at the same goal are currently under consideration by Parliament. The legal monitoring system has also been updated and will now be conducted in a sector-specific format.

To date, a comprehensive analysis of 80 sectors of legislation has been completed. The Government emphasized that all these changes are aimed at making legislation more stable, flexible, and efficient, as well as reducing bureaucratic hurdles in public administration.
