A high-stakes meeting between the two leaders at the Mar-a-Lago residence lasted three hours. According to CNN, the U.S. and Ukrainian presidents reported "significant progress," not ruling out the possibility that a peace agreement could be reached in the coming weeks.

Donald Trump stated that the parties have agreed on 95% of the plan, though the critical issue regarding the Donbas region remains unresolved. While the U.S. is pushing to expedite the deal, Ukraine remains opposed to ceding territory, prioritizing robust security guarantees instead.

Prior to his meeting with Zelensky, Trump held a phone call with Vladimir Putin. The Kremlin confirmed the conversation, reiterating that the Donbas remains a "principled issue" for Russia.

Trump suggested that a trilateral meeting between the U.S., Ukraine, and Russia could take place in the future, noting that Putin "also wants this." European leaders have expressed their support for these ongoing negotiations.
