The Ministry of Energy of Kazakhstan has officially stated that it has not received a formal request from Russia regarding the purchase of gasoline. However, the ministry noted that should such a request be submitted, it would be prepared to review it based on mutually beneficial commercial terms.

According to the ministry, the government's primary objective is to ensure a stable and uninterrupted supply of fuel for the domestic market. Consequently, any export deliveries will only be authorized if they do not jeopardize the needs of domestic consumers or the national economy.

This clarification follows a Reuters report, which cited four industry sources claiming that Kazakhstan had agreed to supply 50,000 tons of gasoline to Russia as humanitarian aid during July and August. In response to these claims, the Ministry of Energy reiterated to the agency that no official request for such assistance has been made by the Russian government.

Nevertheless, the ministry did not rule out the possibility of fuel supplies originating from the "Condensate" refinery in the West Kazakhstan region. The agency explained that if such exports were to occur, the fuel would be produced from straight-run gasoline supplied by the Russian company "Tatneft."

Reuters reported that the A-92 and A-95 grade gasoline could potentially be supplied by the "Condensate" refinery and the Pavlodar Petrochemical Plant. However, no final decision has been made regarding this matter at this time.
