Road Closures in Almaty for Kanye West Concert

Major road closures and traffic restrictions will take effect in central Almaty on August 14 due to Kanye West's upcoming concert at the Central Stadium, which kicks off at 9:00 PM. From 4:00 PM until midnight, vehicular movement will be suspended along Abai Avenue (between the Auezov Theater and Seifullin Avenue), Satpayev Street (from Baizakov to Seifullin), and Baitursynov Street (stretching from Timiryazev to Shevchenko).

Attendees should note that recording equipment, including professional cameras, drones, gimbals, and external microphones, is strictly prohibited inside the venue. To assist concertgoers after the event, free shuttle buses operating across six key routes will offer transport toward major hubs, including Almaty Arena, the Raiymbek Batyr metro area, Almaty-1 Railway Station, Orbita district, Zhuldyz microdistrict, and Almaty International Airport. Additionally, metro service hours will be extended until at least 1:00 AM - with the possibility of remaining open until 3:00 AM if necessary - though the Baikonur station will close to passengers starting at 9:00 PM, leaving Abai and Mukhtar Auezov Theater stations as the primary alternatives nearby.
