Extreme heat reaching up to 44 degrees Celsius is projected across Kazakhstan between August 11 and 13, accompanied by thunderstorms and heavy downpours in several regions, according to Kazhydromet.

Atmospheric fronts will bring rain, lightning, hail, and gusty winds to parts of the country, with intense rainfall forecast for northern areas and southeastern mountainous zones on August 11. Meanwhile, central and southern territories will remain largely dry, though morning and nighttime fog may develop in the northwest, north, and east.

Daytime temperatures are expected to range between +27 and +39 degrees in the west and central regions, +25 to +35 degrees in the northwest and north, and up to +30 to +42 degrees in the east and southeast. The most intense heat wave will hit the south, where daytime temperatures are anticipated to peak between +37 and +44 degrees.
