A broad weather system will bring rain, thunderstorms, gusty winds, and a potential for hail to large parts of Kazakhstan over the August 15–17 weekend. According to Kazhydromet, only the western regions and the Kyzylorda region will remain dry.

Night and morning fog is expected to settle in the western, northwestern, northern, and central areas. Heavy downpours are predicted for the Kostanay region on August 15, the North Kazakhstan and Akmola regions on August 15–16, and the Pavlodar region on August 16.

Daytime temperatures in the western regions will hover between +25°C and +33°C, while Aktyubinsk region will range from +20°C to +30°C.

A noticeable cool-down is heading for the Kostanay and North Kazakhstan regions, where overnight lows will drop to +7–12°C and daytime highs will reach just +15–20°C. In the Akmola and Pavlodar regions, temperatures will range from +10–15°C at night to +17–25°C during the day.

The intense heat will also subside across the central and eastern territories, though southern parts of these regions will still see daytime readings around +23–33°C.

Meanwhile, the southern parts of the country will experience a drop from scorching highs of +38–44°C down to a more moderate +30–37°C. The southeastern regions will likewise cool down, with daytime temperatures stabilizing around +30–36°C.
