The Kazakhstan Football Federation (KFF) has reached an agreement with Dutch manager John van 't Schip to become the head coach of the national football team.

However, his appointment is not yet official. In accordance with federation statutes, his candidacy must first receive formal approval from the KFF Executive Committee. The official contract signing is scheduled to take place immediately following the committee meeting.

As a player, Van 't Schip represented Ajax Amsterdam and Italian side Genoa, and was part of the Netherlands squad that won the 1988 European Championship.

He launched his coaching career within the Ajax youth setup before eventually taking over as the senior team manager. His managerial resume also includes stints at Twente, PEC Zwolle, Mexico's Guadalajara, and Australia's Melbourne City, where he secured the FFA Cup in 2016. At the international level, he has previously managed the national teams of Greece and Armenia.

The backroom staff for the Kazakhstan national team has also been finalized. Van 't Schip will be assisted by Nurbol Zhumaskaliyev and Eldos Akhmetov, with Yuri Novikov serving as goalkeeper coach, Vadim Borovskiy handling physical preparation, and Timur Kusainov acting as performance analyst.
