Kazakhstanis report massive disruptions in Telegram service

Users across Kazakhstan have been flooding service trackers with complaints regarding widespread outages and performance issues with the Telegram messenger, according to data from the Detector404 tracking service.

The first waves of reports began coming in today, August 13, at approximately 11:25 AM. The vast majority of complaints are currently originating from Astana, as well as the Karaganda, Pavlodar, and Kostanay regions.

Users have pointed to several major issues, including malfunctions within the mobile app, delayed message delivery, failing media file downloads, and difficulties sending messages overall.

Statistical breakdown shows that 43.5% of the complaints come from iOS users. Meanwhile, Android users account for 35.1% of reports, Windows users make up 16.6%, and Mac OS X users represent 3.8%. Other operating systems account for the remaining 1% of issues.
