Special financial assistance designed to cover dormitory accommodation costs is provided for specific categories of students in Kazakhstan. The payment amount reaches up to 29 monthly calculation indices (MCI) annually, totaling 100,050 tenge. This was announced by Akerke Abylaikhan, Deputy Chairman of the Committee for Higher and Post-Graduate Education under the Ministry of Science and Higher Education, during the "Bugin Live" program on the Jibek Joly television channel.

This state support subsidy aims to ease the financial burden on students from socially vulnerable groups. Specifically, eligible beneficiaries include orphans and children left without parental care, students with Group I and II disabilities, as well as learners with disabilities since childhood.

According to the ministry representative, these payments are issued on a regular basis not only to first-year students but also throughout their second and third years of study.

Official government data indicates that financial compensation under this program is planned for a total of 7,145 students, among whom 4,651 learners are orphaned students left without parental care.
