Tokayev to attend G20 summit in the US at Trump's invitation

Kazakhstan's President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev will participate in this year's G20 summit in the United States, following an official invitation from US President Donald Trump, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan.

The summit is scheduled to take place on December 14–15 near Miami. Although Kazakhstan is not a member of the Group of Twenty, the US side has included the country among the invited guest nations.

Preparations for the upcoming meeting were also discussed by Kazakhstan's Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ermek Kosherbayev, and Paul Kapur, the US Assistant Secretary of State for South and Central Asian Affairs.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs reported that both sides agreed to continue working closely on the agenda for the G20 summit.
