Data regarding citizens currently on the waiting list for state housing programs is undergoing a comprehensive review. This was announced by Lyazzat Ibragimova, Chairperson of the Board of Otbasy Bank.

According to Ibragimova, out of the 642,000 citizens registered on the housing waitlist, the records of 244,000 individuals have already undergone an inventory audit. As a result of this verification process, more than 55,000 people have been removed from the queue.

The audit revealed that a significant portion of these individuals already owned private property or held shared ownership of a home with a spouse. Consequently, they no longer met the eligibility criteria for participating in state housing programs.

However, the Chairperson noted that individuals holding only a partial share in a property are permitted to remain on the list.

"If a person only holds a fractional share of a property—for example, a 1/7, 1/3, or half share received through inheritance—they will stay on the housing waitlist. In many cases, citizens were not even aware that such a share was registered in their name," the head of the bank explained.

Otbasy Bank officials stated that the data verification process will continue. This initiative is aimed at ensuring that citizens truly in need of housing can access the waitlist through a fair and transparent system.
