The domestic pharmaceutical industry has reached a historic milestone. The World Health Organization (WHO) has formally recognized Kazakhstan’s drug regulatory system on the global stage, marking a new era for healthcare in Central Asia.

Kazakhstan has secured the 1st place among CIS countries and the 4th place in the European region for the maturity level of its national regulatory system. This certification confirms that the quality and safety of medicines in Kazakhstan fully comply with the highest international standards.

Achieving WHO Maturity Level 3 is considered a prestigious "gold seal" of quality. It signifies that the Kazakhstani system flawlessly executes all stages of regulation - from initial drug registration to the rigorous inspection of manufacturing facilities.

"This achievement strengthens the confidence of international investors and major global manufacturers in Kazakhstan," stated the Ministry of Healthcare.

The news was officially announced during the Indo-Kazakhstani Pharmaceutical Business Forum held in Almaty. More than 60 pharmaceutical giants from India attended the event, expressing a massive interest in launching operations and partnerships within the domestic market.

Amidst the high praise and international accolades, a puzzling decision has emerged. The Ministry of Healthcare has moved to withdraw the widely-known drug "Streptocide" from the market. Despite the drug’s long-standing popularity among citizens, a formal explanation for its sudden removal has yet to be released, leaving the public and experts searching for answers.
