The historic negotiations held in the Pakistani capital failed to yield the results expected by the global community. Efforts to establish peace between the United States and Iran reached a deadlock over Iran's nuclear program. Following a marathon 21-hour discussion, U.S. Vice President J.D. Vance departed from Islamabad.

According to Vance's statement, Washington extended its "most effective and final" offer to Tehran. However, Iranian authorities refused to provide firm guarantees regarding the abandonment of their nuclear weapons program.

"This news will be much harder for Iran than for the United States," Vance concluded before boarding Air Force Two.

U.S. President Donald Trump downplayed the significance of the negotiations from the outset. Emphasizing America's military superiority, he stated:

"Whether we make a deal or not, it doesn’t matter to me. We have defeated them militarily," Trump asserted. He also announced that the U.S. has begun clearing mines in the Strait of Hormuz to reopen maritime traffic.

The Iranian side blames Washington for the failure of the talks. Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Ismail Baghaei stated that in an atmosphere of deep-seated mistrust following 40 days of war, issues cannot be resolved in a single meeting. Furthermore, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) denied Trump’s claims regarding the strait and warned of a "harsh response" to any military vessels attempting passage.

As of now, no new rounds of negotiations are scheduled. The international community is anxiously waiting to see what follows the end of the two-week ceasefire.
