The Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan has issued an official warning to students regarding suspicious job offers on social media ahead of the summer holidays. Ministry officials highlighted that promises of "high income" often mask involvement in serious criminal activities.

According to Kuandyk Alzhanov, Deputy Chairman of the Committee for Combating Drug Crime, there has been a rise in cases where young people are recruited into illegal acts online. Specifically, during the summer period, there is an increase in offers for distributing narcotics ("dealers" or "drop-offs"), clandestine transportation, and drug advertising.

Criminal liability for drug-related crimes in Kazakhstan begins at 16 years of age. Depending on the severity of the offense, the Criminal Code provides for penalties up to life imprisonment.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs urges young people not to jeopardize their futures for quick cash and calls on parents to strictly monitor their children's internet activity and job-seeking processes. "Refusing suspicious job offers is the only way to preserve your life and freedom," a department representative emphasized.
