Starting today, a massive educational project aimed at eradicating teenage crime and bullying has officially launched in nearly 1,000 schools and colleges across Kazakhstan. The initiative, titled "Law and Order," is designed not only to improve legal literacy among students but also to instill a deep sense of personal responsibility, reports Ministry of Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan

Before going national, the project underwent a pilot phase in the Talgar district of the Almaty region. The results were remarkable:

• Bullying and Cyberbullying levels plummeted by 18%.

• The number of teenagers with behavioral issues decreased by 30%.

• Student compliance with legal norms rose by 31.9%.

Moving beyond dry theory, the program enlists over 600 experienced mentors with backgrounds in law enforcement. These professionals share real-life cases and practical insights, explaining the weight of legal consequences through the lens of lived experience.

The lessons are scheduled once every two weeks. Currently, the rollout includes nearly 100 educational institutions in Shymkent, over 190 in the Karaganda region, and approximately 110 in the Pavlodar region.

The Ministry of Education is confident that this step will ensure child safety not just within school walls, but across the digital landscape (the internet) as well. This initiative is set to be implemented nationwide under the broader "Children of Kazakhstan" development concept.
