The life expectancy of the population in Kazakhstan has risen to an unprecedented level. According to the Ministry of Healthcare of the Republic of Kazakhstan, by the end of 2025, this figure reached 75.97 years.

The ministry reports a significant increase in this direction since the country gained independence. For instance, in 1991, the average life expectancy was 67.6 years, meaning it has increased by more than 8 years over the past three decades.

Development Dynamics:

• 1991: 67.6 years

• 2001: 65.6 years

• 2011: 68.98 years

• 2021: 70.23 years

• 2025: 75.97 years

The primary reason for this achievement is the effectiveness of the fight against non-communicable diseases. Kazakhstan has entered the top ten countries in the World Health Organization (WHO) European Region for reducing mortality from such diseases by 25%.

"The increase in life expectancy is a direct result of modernizing the healthcare system, improving the quality of medical care, and increasing the well-being of the population," ministry officials noted.

The state continues to set ambitious targets. Under the concept for the development of healthcare until 2029, the government plans to increase the average life expectancy to 77 years
