The Ministry of Healthcare of the Republic of Kazakhstan has announced a significant tightening of state control over children's health camps ahead of the summer season. The most notable change is that inspections will now be conducted without prior notification to the facility administration.

According to local government data, 179 seasonal camps and 20 year-round facilities are prepared to welcome children this year. Under Ministry requirements, every camp must obtain a sanitary-epidemiological permit, ensure proper medical services, and strictly adhere to capacity limits before opening.

Key Inspection Priorities:

• Safety and Infrastructure: Secured fencing and functional lighting systems.

• Utilities: Uninterrupted water supply and operational sewage systems.

• Hygiene: Proper ventilation and daily disinfection protocols.

• Nutrition: Quality and compliance of the mandatory five-meal-a-day plan.

• Medical Care: Fully equipped first-aid and medical stations.

Additionally, special monitoring will be enforced at swimming areas. Experts will regularly collect water and soil samples from pools, lakes, and beaches for laboratory testing.

All state-funded health organizations will undergo inspections under a "special control procedure" during the second half of the year. While a list of scheduled inspections will be published on the Committee for Sanitary and Epidemiological Control websites by May 10, any facility not on that list remains subject to unannounced "surprise" checks at any time.
