By the end of 2025, Kazakhstan's technology sector achieved a historic milestone. According to data from the National Bank, the volume of domestic IT services exports reached $1.142 billion USD. This figure confirms that the country has moved away from dependence on technology imports and has become a "net exporter." Currently, the revenue from selling Kazakhstani digital solutions is 2.6 times higher than the expenditure on imports coming from abroad.

Today, Kazakhstani IT products are in high demand in more than 110 countries worldwide. The main driver of this success is the Astana Hub international technopark. Its residents brought in $633 million in export revenue in 2025. Currently, 537 domestic companies are actively working in major markets such as Germany, Spain, the Netherlands, and the UAE.

More than 32,500 qualified specialists are employed in the sector. This project has created conditions for over 6,000 foreign experts to connect to Kazakhstan's digital infrastructure.

The Ministry of Artificial Intelligence and Digital Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan (MAIDD) continues to integrate domestic innovations into global value chains. Kazakhstan's technological influence is not limited only to Silicon Valley, expanding through international hubs in Shanghai and Dubai.

A new vector of development this year is Southeast Asia. Within the framework of the CEVF 2026 forum held in Tashkent, an agreement was signed between Astana Hub and IT Park Uzbekistan to open a joint technology hub in Malaysia. This step opens direct paths for Kazakhstani startups to Asia's new financial markets.

"The 1 billion dollar mark is a key indicator of state support measures and the maturity of the ecosystem. Our goal is to create conditions for Kazakhstani IT companies to become an integral part of the global digital economy," noted Gizzat Baitursynov, Chairman of the Committee for Digital Assets and Breakthrough Technologies of the MAIDD.

Today, programs such asSilkway Accelerator and Hero Training are serving as primary tools for transforming domestic ideas into world-class, competitive export products.
