President Tokayev announced that approximately 600 billion tenge will be allocated until 2029 for the implementation of the “Auyl Amanats” project, aimed at supporting rural entrepreneurship.

“The focus should be on supporting businesses in rural areas. First and foremost, the development of agricultural cooperatives must be prioritized. Significant work has already been done in this sector, and their efficiency is well known,” the President stated.

However, Tokayev noted that joint farms have not yet become a backbone of the rural economy. Often, such cooperatives are established by a small group of individuals, acting as intermediaries between private farm owners and processors while benefiting from government incentives. Although formally permissible, such practices hinder the overall improvement of rural living standards.

“The creation of associations (cooperatives) should be implemented nationwide so that every rural resident can experience tangible benefits. If individual farmers do not unite, the state’s efforts to develop the agro-industrial complex may prove ineffective. Therefore, work in this direction should be intensified,” emphasized the President.

The “Auyl Amanats” project provides broad opportunities for rural residents who wish to develop their businesses. Over the past two years, around 20,000 jobs have been created under the project. By 2029, approximately 600 billion tenge will be allocated to support this program.
