Today marked the official launch of the Public Initiatives Development Committee under the People’s Assembly of Kazakhstan, chaired by Vera Kim. During the session, members outlined strategic proposals aimed at advancing key presidential reforms.

To streamline its activities and address pressing societal challenges, the Committee established three specialized commissions. As emphasized by Vera Kim, the primary objective of this structure is to consolidate expert potential, foster meaningful discussion on critical issues, and formulate actionable policy recommendations.

The key focus areas of the newly formed commissions include:

  •  Commission on Education and Human Capital Development: Led by Murat Abenov, this commission prioritizes bridging the educational gap between rural and urban schools, resolving teacher shortages, and aligning curricula with modern labor market demands. To execute these solutions—including legislative proposals—the commission will engage industry experts, major employers, and IT sector specialists.
  •  Commission on Social Policy Issues: Headed by Lazzat Kaltayeva, the body focuses on healthcare, social protection, equal opportunities, and intergenerational continuity. Its work will rely heavily on direct public feedback and the analysis of regional best practices.
  •  Commission on Civic Engagement and Volunteering: Chaired by Altynai Kobyeyeva, the commission aims to boost civic participation, enhance the "NGO–State–Business" dialogue, and launch a dedicated "Public Participation School" for community activists.

Additionally, the Committee approved its comprehensive work plan for 2026–2027, which encompasses expert discussions, regional sessions, and close collaboration with state authorities. Concluding the meeting, Assembly member Bagdat Musin proposed developing a dedicated digital ecosystem to support the "Taza Qazaqstan" initiative. All civic initiatives will undergo rigorous expert evaluation within these commissions to produce concrete policy outcomes.
