Tragedy in East Kazakhstan: Verbal Warning at Cafe Leads to Fatal Attack on Officer

A criminal investigation has been launched in East Kazakhstan Region following the tragic death of a 40-year-old police officer in Oskemen during the early hours of October 4.
According to preliminary reports, the officer, who was off-duty at the time, made a verbal warning to an individual inside a local eatery. The individual later pursued the officer outside and delivered a severe blow to his head. The officer succumbed to his injuries at the scene.
The East Kazakhstan Regional Police Department officially confirmed the death of their colleague.
"A criminal case has been opened regarding this incident. The suspect has been identified and placed in a temporary detention facility," the department's press service reported.
Investigative actions are currently underway to establish all the circumstances surrounding the incident.
