The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan has officially refuted circulating reports claiming that 14 Kazakh citizens stranded in a conflict zone would be returned home on October 8. Official Spokesperson Zhanbolat Usenov addressed the situation, dismissing social media rumors that the individuals were being transferred to the Kazakh Embassy in Russia today.

Usenov stressed the sensitivity of the issue, urging the public and media to refrain from spreading unverified information. He noted that false updates create misleading expectations for anxious relatives waiting for news and undermine the diplomatic efforts currently underway to secure the citizens' safety.

According to the spokesperson, the Ministry remains in active consultations with Russian authorities regarding the repatriation process, keeping the matter under continuous monitoring. The Foreign Ministry previously confirmed on October 2 that it had received assistance requests from Kazakh nationals in active conflict areas, followed by an October 7 statement confirming ongoing negotiations with Russia. Official sources have not yet announced a confirmed timeline or date for their arrival.
