Tokayev Convenes Inaugural Session of the People's Council of Kazakhstan

The first session of the People's Council of Kazakhstan is scheduled to take place on September 23–24 in Astana. President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev signed an official decree convening the assembly's inaugural meeting, as reported by Akorda.

Under the directive, the Secretariat of the People's Council of Kazakhstan has been instructed to carry out all necessary preparations to organize the opening session. The decree was officially issued on September 22.

Earlier, the Head of State approved the membership composition of the People's Council of Kazakhstan, which comprises 126 representatives. The body includes public figures, local maslikhat deputies, members of public councils and ethnocultural associations, scientists, journalists, as well as figures from sports and culture.
