SAMK Authorizes Only Four Kazakhstani Tour Operators for 2027 Hajj Season

The Spiritual Administration of Muslims of Kazakhstan (SAMK) has announced the results of its selection process for tour operators organizing the 2027 Hajj season, marking a major structural shift. While 14 operators managed the pilgrimage last year, strict new evaluation standards have reduced the list of officially authorized companies to just four.

Following decisions made by a special commission established under SAMK, the following Kazakhstani companies were selected for the 2027 season:

• Atlas Tourism LLC

• Nurkhan Travel LLC

• Tauaf Travel LLC

• Hikmet Travel LLC

The selection process included a comprehensive review of candidates' year-round performance indicators, operational track records, relevant licenses, and valid tour codes verified via the "Torystik Kamkor" Corporate Fund. Requirements set by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for official pilgrimage organizers were also fully integrated into the selection criteria.

However companies that did not clear the primary competitive selection still retain an operational pathway. SAMK clarified that unselected firms may legally organize Hajj trips by entering into sub-agency agreements with one of the four accredited tour operators.
