Major Road Repair Work Temporarily Restricts Traffic Flow in Astana

Temporary traffic restrictions have been implemented along Nurgisa Tlendiyev Avenue, one of the busiest thoroughfares in the capital. By decision of the city administration, a section of the road will remain partially closed until September 10, prompting prompt adjustments to traffic routing.

The current resurfacing project spans the segment between Koktal Street and Мoskva Street.

Road crews have begun completely renewing the upper asphalt layer. As a result, vehicular traffic is being funneled into a two-way stream along just one side of the avenue, which is expected to cause increased congestion during peak morning and evening hours.

Municipal authorities and traffic police are urging drivers and pedestrians to plan their routes in advance and adjust travel times accordingly. A brief closure of this same stretch took place in mid-July, but the current restrictions will remain in effect for a significantly longer duration.
