Kazhydromet has issued a weather warning for August 29–31, forecasting widespread rain, thunderstorms, gusty winds, and hail across much of Kazakhstan. As the month draws to a close, night precipitation in northern and eastern regions is expected to transition into snow.

Heavy rainfall is projected for Akmola, Kostanay, and Karaganda regions on August 29, shifting toward Pavlodar and East Kazakhstan on August 30–31. The western regions will remain mostly dry. Fog is anticipated during night and morning hours across western, northwestern, northern, and eastern territories.

A sharp temperature drop will affect northwestern, northern, and central areas, with nighttime lows falling between 0 and +5°C and daytime highs ranging from +10 to +15°C. Ground frost as low as -3°C is predicted in localized spots toward the end of the period. Eastern Kazakhstan will also experience cooler conditions, with nights dipping to +5…+10°C and afternoons reaching +15…+25°C.

In contrast, western and southern parts of the country will stay warm. Daytime temperatures in the west will rise to +25…+30°C, peaking at +35°C in Mangystau region, while southern regions will see night temperatures of +10…+20°C and daytime highs between +25 and +35°C.
