Following three days of intense competition at the VI World Nomad Games in Kyrgyzstan, Team Kazakhstan maintains a strong second place in the overall medal standings. Kazakhstan's athletes have secured a total of 34 medals, including 16 gold, 8 silver, and 10 bronze.

Host nation Kyrgyzstan leads the leaderboard with 39 medals (19 gold, 12 silver, 8 bronze). Russia follows in third place with 24 medals (5 gold, 6 silver, 13 bronze), with Mongolia and Uzbekistan rounding out the top rankings.

Day three proved exceptionally successful for Kazakhstan, bringing in 12 gold, 7 silver, and 5 bronze medals across multiple traditional events:

  • Audaryspak (Horseback Wrestling): Daryn Otkelbai (under 90 kg) and Syrym Izbasarov (under 100 kg) captured gold, while Nurzhan Erkinuly earned bronze in the heavy weight class.

  • Sambo: Bolat Sapar took gold in the +98 kg category, while Zhandos Beisenbayev secured bronze in the under-64 kg division.

  • Kusbegilik (Falconry): Serikbolsyn Zhalgasuly won gold, Arman Koshkarov and Bakdaulet Babazhan earned silver, and Erlan Kenzhetayev claimed bronze.

  • Tug-of-War: Kazakhstan’s 4x4 team defeated Iran to claim gold.

  • Arm Wrestling: The national team dominated the discipline, taking home 7 gold, 4 silver, and 1 bronze medal.

Kazakhstani athletes continue their campaign today, competing in Kokpar, Kokboru, Alaman Baige, Qazaq Kuresi, Toghyzqumalaq, Zhamby Atu (horseback archery), traditional archery, and tug-of-war. The VI World Nomad Games are currently underway in Kyrgyzstan, hosting athletes from over 100 nations.
