Aviation authorities from Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan reached a major agreement on the sidelines of the "China – Central Asia" (C5+1) Civil Aviation Cooperation Working Group conference in Tashkent. The deal is set to elevate air connectivity between the two nations to a new level.

According to the Civil Aviation Committee of the Ministry of Transport of Kazakhstan, both sides agreed to permit up to 60 flights per week on each of the key routes: "Almaty – Tashkent" and "Astana – Tashkent." This expansion is expected to significantly boost passenger traffic between the main urban centers of both countries.

Furthermore, the allowed flight frequency across all other routes connecting Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan will increase from 14 to 20 flights per week. The Ministry of Transport noted that this decision will expand ticket availability on high-demand destinations and substantially improve the accessibility of air travel.
