Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has announced a full financial amnesty for young families.

Under the new policy, young families in Turkey can access subsidized loans ranging from 200,000 to 250,000 Turkish Liras. Upon the birth of the first child, loan payments are frozen for 12 months, and the repayment period is extended by an additional year. As soon as a second child is born into the family, the state completely cancels the remaining debt balance.

Turkey, long considered a country with a youthful population, has begun to face a slowdown in birth rates. This measure is designed to transform family formation from a financial burden into a protected social project.
