Kazakhstan may ban the automatic callback function for missed calls. This was announced by Mazhilis Deputy Askhat Aimagambetov.

According to him, there are plans to introduce relevant amendments to the rules for providing communication services. Under the new norms, the format of notifications sent to subscribers will be reviewed.

Vice Minister Doszhan Musaliev stated that, from now on, information about missed calls may only be sent to users via Short Message Service (SMS).

"Notifications will be sent to subscribers only under certain conditions," he said.

It is worth noting that the issue of automatic calls was raised during a Mazhilis session on May 13. At that time, Zhaslan Madiyev, the minister responsible for the digital development sector, mentioned that this function could be reconsidered.
