Zeekr Vehicles Recalled in China: Does It Affect Kazakhstan?

Recently, the Chinese regulatory authority announced a recall of 38,277 Zeekr 001 WE vehicles due to potential risks associated with high-voltage batteries. This news understandably caused some concern among car enthusiasts in Kazakhstan.

However  the official distributor of Zeekr in Kazakhstan, part of the Orbis Auto structure, has issued an official statement regarding the situation.

According to the distributor, the recall campaign in China does not affect the vehicles officially supplied and sold on the Kazakhstan market. There are several key reasons for this:

First, the vehicles delivered to our country have different technical specifications. They are specifically adapted for the regional climate and operating conditions. Second, the official Zeekr models in Kazakhstan are equipped with battery cells manufactured by CATL, which were not used in the specific Chinese batch affected by the recall.

Furthermore, every vehicle supplied through official channels fully complies with European certification requirements and the current technical regulations of Kazakhstan. Therefore, owners who purchased their Zeekr through the official distributor have no cause for concern. Direct communication with the manufacturer is maintained, and safety standards remain under strict control.
