The decision follows public statements by YouTube CEO Neal Mohan, who criticized the practice of mass-producing repetitive, low-quality videos using AI and pledged to tighten the crackdown on such content.

YouTube has deleted several major channels that distributed low-quality content created with artificial intelligence, The Verge reports.

Among those already removed are CuentosFacinantes, with an audience of approximately 5.9 million subscribers, and Imperio de Jesus, which had around 5.8 million followers.

Additionally, 16 more YouTube channels, each boasting over 2 million subscribers, are currently at risk of being blocked. These include Heroes de Fantasia, Adhamali-0, Roupa25, Super Cat League, and others.

Earlier, Neal Mohan stated that in 2026, the platform would focus on cleaning YouTube of AI-generated content that offers no value to viewers and is created solely for the sake of views and monetization. This new wave of deletions marks the first major step in that direction.
