Winners of the "Shabyt – 2025" International Competition Announced

The XXVIII International “Kazakh National University of Arts” Competition for Creative Youth, held in Astana from November 18 to 22, 2025, has concluded. This year, over 800 young talents from across Kazakhstan and abroad participated, competing in various fields of art.

The project is considered one of the largest creative platforms in the country, aimed at supporting gifted youth, providing opportunities for professional development, and strengthening international cultural cooperation. The international jury included renowned musicians and artists from China, Russia, Türkiye, Italy, Kyrgyzstan, and Uzbekistan.

During the festival, participants went through competition stages and took part in masterclasses, creative workshops, and concerts. A specially organized educational program gave young performers the opportunity to gain hands-on experience directly from professional directors, composers, and fine arts specialists.

Winners of the "Shabyt festival – 2025" Competition:

  • Chamber Choir: Grand Prix – State Chamber Choir of the Republic of Tatarstan
  • Choir Conductor: Grand Prix – Dauren Musin
  • Academic Singing and Concertmastery: Grand Prix – Firuza Rakhmetova, Ayazhan Shynbolat
  • Chamber Music: Grand Prix – Akbike Alghi, Ilyas Uzbekov
  • Folklore Ensemble: Grand Prix – "Tarlan" Ethno Ensemble
  • Pop Vocal: Grand Prix – Trio Moonaisun
  • Poetry: Grand Prix – Dauren Tileukhan
  • Creative Direction: Grand Prix – Kamza Bokeykhan

Prize fund for winners:

  • Grand Prix – 3,000,000 KZT
  • 1st place – 1,000,000 KZT
  • 2nd place – 750,000 KZT
  • 3rd place – 500,000 KZT

This year’s competition highlighted the creative potential of young artists and opened doors for new talents to gain recognition. Over nearly 30 years, the competition has contributed to the professional development of thousands of young artists.

Organizers: Ministry of Culture and Information of Kazakhstan, Astana City Administration, “Directorate for Cultural Events,” and the Kazakh National University of Arts named after Kulyash Baiseitova.
