The minimum sufficiency threshold for early withdrawal of funds from the Unified Accumulative Pension Fund (UAPF) will not be changed in Kazakhstan for 2026. This was announced by the Vice-Minister of Labor and Social Protection of the Population, Victoria Shegay.

According to her, the sufficiency thresholds were already reviewed at the beginning of the year. In accordance with the Social Code, the indicators for the next period must be published on the official UAPF website at least one month before the start of the new year.

Earlier, the head of the department, Askarbek Yertayev, reported that Kazakhstanis have withdrawn approximately 5 trillion tenge from the pension fund over the last five years. Out of this total, nearly 1 trillion tenge was utilized by citizens aged between 20 and 35.

On the other hand, the Chairman of the National Bank, Timur Suleimenov, has previously voiced the necessity of increasing the sufficiency threshold. In his opinion, this is crucial to ensuring adequate pension payments for citizens in the future.
