Wildberries Responds to Reports of Relocating Warehouses to Kazakhstan

RWB, the merged company of Wildberries and Russ, has refuted claims regarding the relocation of its primary logistics hubs out of Russia. Speaking to TASS, the company's press office stated that media reports suggesting such a move are inaccurate.

Company representatives clarified that Wildberries continues the scheduled expansion of its logistics network across all operating regions. Consequently, warehouse construction projects are proceeding in alignment with previously approved development plans.

Earlier, Russian newspaper Kommersant cited sources claiming that Wildberries was actively seeking around 100,000 square meters of warehouse space in Kazakhstan following Ukrainian drone attacks on Russian facilities. The report added that heightened risks within Russia could drive the e-commerce giant to secure any available fulfillment centers in the country.

Kazakhstan's Ministry of Trade and Integration confirmed it had received no official inquiries from Wildberries regarding this matter. Minister Arman Shakkaliyev later noted that the company currently leases roughly 46,000 square meters of warehouse space in Kazakhstan, alongside developing two major fulfillment centers—160,000 square meters in Almaty and 100,000 square meters in Astana. He emphasized that these infrastructure projects were arranged long before recent events and are slated for completion in the first quarter of 2027.
