Who Will Receive Cash Payments in Astana for March 8?

On the eve of March 8 – International Women’s Day – certain residents of Astana will receive a one-time cash payment from the local budget.

In 2026, the payment amount is set at 2.5 monthly calculation indices (MCI), which equals 10,813 tenge per person. Funds will be automatically transferred to recipients’ accounts, and no additional applications are required.

The support is intended for mothers with many children, including holders of the “Altyn Alka” and “Kumis Alka” awards, as well as low-income women who are registered and permanently residing in the capital. According to preliminary data, approximately 36–37 thousand people will benefit.

The city administration noted that recipient lists were prepared in advance using state databases. Therefore, there is no need to contact government agencies.

It is also worth noting that March 2026 will have fewer public holidays for Kazakh citizens compared to usual. While it will be one of the shorter months in terms of working days, it will not break the record set in 2025 and 2027, when 14 days off were granted during a five-day workweek.
