Experts from hh.kz have conducted an analysis of job vacancies in the country for the conclusion of 2025. Overall, the number of vacancies exceeded 538,000, showing a slight decrease of 4.7% compared to the previous year. Despite this, major metropolises remain the primary hubs for employment.

Regional Activity:

• Almaty leads with over 200,000 vacancies, although demand there has decreased by 6.8%.
• Astana demonstrated stability with 120,000 job openings, showing a slight growth of +0.6%.
• Western Regions: A significant reduction in vacancies was observed, specifically in Aktau (-11.6%) and Atyrau (-8.9%).

Sector Dynamics:

Traditionally, the Sales and Customer Service sector holds the largest market share (12.6%), but activity in this field has declined by 3.5%. A decrease in demand was also noted in the beauty industry, the auto business, and administrative services.

Growth Trends:

Despite the general downward trend, the need for labor has increased in several key sectors:

• Production and Service Industry: +4.6%
• Tourism and Hospitality (HoReCa): +4.6%
• Construction and Real Estate: +4.1%
• Transport, Logistics, and Blue-collar Personnel: +2.6%

These figures suggest that the market is shifting its focus from general services toward more industrial, construction, and logistical sectors.
