Which Cars Are Kazakhstani Citizens Buying? March Market Analysis

According to data from the Kazakhstan Automobile Union (KAU), the country's automotive market is showing signs of stabilization following a dip in sales figures during February.

In March of this year, official dealers sold 17,099 new passenger and commercial vehicles. Although this is 12.9% less than the same period last year, experts note that market demand is beginning to normalize.

Competition among brands has intensified significantly, leading to a redistribution of market shares:

• Hyundai maintained its status as the market leader with 3,192 vehicles sold.

• Kia climbed to second place with 2,317 units sold.

• Chevrolet rounded out the top three with 2,142 vehicles.

• Changan secured the fourth position, reaching a sales volume of 1,766 units.

Significant growth in sales was also demonstrated by the following brands:

• Chery – 1,270

• Haval – 1,227

• Jetour – 850

• Toyota – 581

• Jac – 451

• Geely – 428
