Venezuela Braces for Potential U.S. Attack, Mobilizes Over 4 Million People

Venezuelan authorities have announced that the country is prepared to repel potential military pressure from the United States. According to the Venezuelan Ambassador to Ankara, Freddy Eduardo Molina Gutiérrez, more than four million citizens have been mobilized to defend the state, reports DHA.

The diplomat noted that Venezuelan society has prepared for a potential conflict well in advance, both ideologically and practically. He emphasized that the mobilization involves not only the Armed Forces but also a comprehensive system of civil defense.

"The Venezuelan people are ready to resist. We are facing the most powerful military force in history, but despite this, we will defend our country," the ambassador stated.

He highlighted that the mobilization of over four million people is a fundamental part of the national defense system, viewing citizen participation as a key element in the strategy to protect national sovereignty.

According to official estimates, Venezuela's current population is approximately 28.5 to 29 million people. Consequently, these mobilization measures involve a significant portion of the country's residents.
The ambassador's statements come amid ongoing tensions between Caracas and Washington, which have remained among the most complex in the region over recent years.
