US Embassy in Astana to Host Public Auction for Vehicles, Furniture, and Equipment

The Embassy of the United States in Kazakhstan announces a large-scale public auction to be held on May 17, 2026, in Astana. The event will feature a wide range of embassy property, including various technical equipment, furniture, and specialized vehicles.

Participants will have the opportunity to bid on the following categories of property:

• Vehicles: Passenger cars and specialized equipment (forklifts).

• IT Equipment: Computers, monitors, scanners, printers, and photocopiers.

• Household Appliances: Televisions and other essential electronic devices.

• Furniture and Interior Items: Home and office furniture, carpets, and mattresses.

• Specialized Tools: Medical equipment, repair tools, and various consumables.

The auction will take place at the Embassy parking lot located at 3 Koshkarbayev Avenue, Astana.

• 09:00 – 10:00: Participant registration and lot inspection.

• 10:00 onwards: Commencement of the main bidding process.

To participate, individuals must pay a registration fee to receive a bidder number:

1. General Property (Furniture, Equipment): Registration fee – 20,000 KZT.

2. Vehicles and Forklifts (Separate Session): Registration fee – 100,000 KZT.

• Payment Method: All transactions must be conducted exclusively in cash (Kazakhstani Tenge). Bank cards, transfers, and checks will not be accepted.

• Refund Policy: If a participant does not win any lots, the registration fee will be refunded in full. If a bid is successful, the fee will be deducted from the final purchase price.

• Removal of Items: All purchased property must be removed from the premises by the winners no later than 18:00 on May 17.

The Embassy has not yet released specific models or technical specifications for the vehicles and other items. Full details will be made available directly at the auction site on the day of the event.
