Washington has officially accused Beijing of the systematic theft of highly confidential and advanced developments in the field of artificial intelligence (AI). According to a report by Reuters, Michael Kratsios, Director of the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy, issued a formal statement on the matter.

According to the U.S. administration, Chinese entities have organized specialized campaigns on an "industrial scale" to gain unauthorized access to the AI systems of American companies. The White House reported that:

• Proxy Networks: The Chinese side allegedly utilized tens of thousands of proxy accounts to bypass sophisticated defense systems.

• Information Extraction: This method was used to exploit American innovations and models to extract classified information for their own strategic interests.

• Official Documentation: Kratsios characterized these actions as the "blatant exploitation of American innovation" in a detailed memo published by the Financial Times.

The Chinese Embassy in Washington immediately rejected these allegations. Beijing stated that the claims are entirely groundless and emphasized that China remains committed to the protection of intellectual property rights.

This conflict has intensified on the eve of a pivotal meeting between U.S. President Donald Trump and Chinese President Xi Jinping, scheduled to take place in Beijing next month.

Industry analysts suggest that this confrontation between the two technological superpowers could further strain diplomatic relations and complicate the upcoming bilateral negotiations.
