A major conflict between the United States and Iran could break out in the near future, according to the American publication Axios. Sources suggest that if the U.S. launches an operation against Tehran, it will not be limited to a single airstrike but will evolve into a full-scale, multi-week war.

This potential escalation stands in stark contrast to the recent precision operation in Venezuela. Reports indicate that President Donald Trump intends to involve the Israeli military in the potential operation.

"The boss's patience is wearing thin. While some in his inner circle advise avoiding war with Iran, I believe the probability of shifting to military action within the next few weeks is 90%," stated one of the U.S. President's advisors.

Western military experts estimate that 200–250 aircraft could be deployed if hostilities begin. Should the U.S. join forces with Israel, the number of strike aircraft could reach 400. This is double the amount of aviation equipment used during the 12-day war between Israel and Iran in the summer of 2025.

Last week, Donald Trump stated that a complete regime change in Tehran would be "the best thing that could happen to Iran." In response, Iran's Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei emphasized that any U.S. attempts to overthrow the Iranian government are "doomed to failure."

Despite the rising tensions, negotiations regarding Iran's nuclear program continue in Oman and Switzerland. The most recent meeting between U.S. and Iranian representatives took place on February 17 in Geneva. Following the talks, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi noted to Iranian media that the meeting does not guarantee an agreement will be reached in the near future.
