Trump Announces Expected Duration of Military Operation Against Iran

U.S. President Donald Trump has issued a statement regarding the future course of military actions on Iranian territory. According to the head of the White House, the military operation directed against Iran is expected to last approximately four weeks, or potentially conclude even sooner.

As a reminder, on February 28, U.S. and Israeli armed forces launched a massive strike on Iranian facilities. This attack resulted in the death of the 86-year-old Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, who had led Iran for the past 40 years. Following the strike on Tehran, Iranian authorities declared 40 days of national mourning throughout the country.

Currently, a provisional government system has been activated in Iran. Until a new Supreme Leader is appointed, President Masoud Pezeshkian will hold the reins of the country. Additionally, Gholam-Hossein Mohseni-Eje'i, the head of the judiciary, and Ayatollah Alireza Arafi, a member of the Guardian Council, will participate in state administration.
